SCMCHA launches 3rd phase of shelter aid in Sana’a

The Branch of Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SCMCHA) inaugurated on Tuesday the third phase of shelter assistance.

The shelter assistance will be distributed to the displaced and affected people in Hamdan district in Sana’a province provided by the General Syndicate of Yemeni Social and Psychologists.

The assistance is supported by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) as part of the project to improve the living conditions of affected populations.

Hamadan district director Muneer al-Kibsi stressed the importance of humanitarian interventions to help the displaced in the fields of health, food, drinking water, and others.

The aid targeted 417 beneficiaries of the displaced and affected families in a number of areas in Hamadan district, said deputy director of the Supreme Council branch in the province Abdulsalam al-Nawab.

He pointed out that the project targeted 2,200 cases of displaced families, including 1,200 families in Hamadan and 1,00 families in Bani Hushaish district in three stages in coordination with humanitarian partners.
