The government media office in Gaza announced that the number of victims of the ongoing Zionist aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to more than 18,800 martyrs and 51,000 wounded.

The office explained in a statement, on Friday evening, that during the 70 days of the genocidal war, the Israeli enemy forces committed 1,680 massacres. It added that among the victims 8,000 children and 6,200 women were killed. The number of martyrs among medical personnel reached 300, and 32 from civil defense personnel, 89 journalists. The number of missing persons reached 7,500, 70%of whom were children and women, and the number of injuries reached 51,000.

The office explained that during its aggression against the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation destroyed 52,500 housing units completely and 254,000 partially, in addition to 312 mosques, 3 churches, and 2,282 schools and universities were damaged, including 90 that were out of service.

The enemy destroyed 213 hospitals and health centers, putting them out of service, and damaged 102 ambulances, noting that 327,000 cases of infectious diseases were documented as a result of displacement due to the Israeli bombing.

The office pointed out that the Israeli occupation deliberately, for the fifth time, completely cut off communications networks and the Internet from the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the genocidal war, and this means the occurrence of disasters that threaten the lives of Palestinians.

The office said, “The Israeli occupation continues the genocidal war it has been committing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for 70 days of brutal killing of civilians, children and women, by bombing houses with Israeli and American warplanes and with giant American missiles and bombs. ”Every meter in the Gaza Strip has become under targeting and no place is anymore safe,” it added.

It denounced the deliberate targeting of journalists in the Gaza Strip, considering it a full-fledged crime and a violation of international law, with the aim of intimidating journalists.

“In light of this exceptional and extremely dangerous humanitarian situation, the conditions of the displaced are becoming more difficult and harsh, as the number of displaced people who have left their homes has exceeded 1.5 million people in the Gaza Strip. All of them are suffering from extremely difficulty in obtaining food, water, and medicine. They are also suffering from poor conditions in shelters, and the spread of various diseases and epidemics coinciding with the onset of winter, rain and extreme cold.”

The office explained that halting the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip is a despicable method of putting pressure on the Palestinian people, by depriving them of food, medicine, and fuel, is considered a death sentence for 2.4 million people.

He pointed out that Gaza is approaching famine more than ever before, and there are signs of famine appearing among thousands of children in the north.

The office warned all countries of the free world and international and global organizations of a humanitarian catastrophe committed by the occupation against civilians as it is still clearly targeting the health sector and hospitals in particular.

It held the US and international community responsible for the genocidal war, as they gave the occupation approval and the green light to carry out the genocidal war with the aim of getting rid of the Palestinians either by killing or displacement.
