Statement of condemnation of the crime of targeting the aircraft of the Saudi-American aggression for displaced persons in the Directorate of Muzae – Taiz.

We in the Civil Coalition for Development and Freedoms condemn and condemn in the strongest terms this ugly massacre, which is in accordance with the international humanitarian legal character of the four Geneva Conventions and the Protocols thereto as war crimes, this description cannot be interpreted or debated, since the targets are safe civilians, where international humanitarian law contains rules and principles aimed at providing protection mainly to persons not taking part in hostilities,(Ie, civilians in particular).This law applies in situations of war, and armed conflicts only. Its rules are binding on all parties to the conflict, whether States or non-State armed groups.
It requires a basic rule in international humanitarian law must be careful to “distinguish between civilians and combatants.”
In addition to a similar rule, there is a distinction between “civilian objects” and “military objectives”, which form an integral part of one of the basic principles of discrimination.
Intentional targeting of civilians who do not take part in hostilities directly or against civilian objects is a war crime.
It is also prohibited to launch disproportionate attacks, such as attacks that may or may be expected to cause loss of life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects incidentally or cause both, and the damage is excessive in comparison with the direct and concrete military advantage of an attack. Is launching a disproportionate attack is a war crime.
If we compare the actions of the states of aggression with the legal characterization mentioned in the rules and articles of international humanitarian law, the Saudi-led coalition states bombard and direct air strikes without regard to the principle of distinguishing between civilian targets and civilians and between military objectives and combatants. They commit war crimes that require punishment and international prosecution. As provided for in the laws and articles of international humanitarian law.
The Civil Coalition also condemns the silence of the international community and of the international bodies and organizations, especially the United Nations, which stand by in the face of what the States of the aggression coalition are committing against innocent Yemeni civilians.
