Deputy FM meets Dutch Ambassador

Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi met on Wednesday  with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen Peter Derrek Hof.

In the meeting, the Deputy Foreign Minister praised the level of relations between the two friendly countries, especially in the development field.

The Deputy Foreign Minister commended the Netherlands’ positions in support of ending the aggression and siege on the Yemeni people and alleviating their human suffering, as well as its positive positions in the Human Rights Council in support of establishing a mechanism to investigate crimes and violations that occurred in Yemen.

He reiterated Yemen’s readiness and keenness to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, stressing at the same time its right to self-defense, which is guaranteed by all international norms and conventions.

During the meeting, the Safer ship and the importance of joint action to quickly address this issue were discussed in light of the congruence of positions and viewpoints between the two sides in this regard.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Netherlands expressed his country’s readiness to provide all aspects of support and assistance to Yemen and to contribute to achieving the desired peace.
