Yemeni Parliament Affirms Rejection of Foreign Interference in Yemeni Affairs, Condemns Abduction of Women in Marib

The Presidium of the Parliament confirmed on Monday Yemen’s position rejecting foreign interference in Yemeni affairs and rejecting any trends that would harm any Yemeni component.

In a meeting headed by Speaker of the Parliament Yahya Ali Al-Rai, the Presidium of the Parliament condemned the kidnapping of seven women in Marib governorate by aggression-mercenaries, in a crime that contradicts the customs and traditions of the Yemeni people known for their brotherhood, help and magnanimity.

It emphasized the importance of solidarity and cooperation against aggression and its tools.

The Parliament thanked the positions that declared their solidarity and support for the cause, including those issued by European and American parliamentarians and officials.

The meeting approved sending letters of thanks to the British House of Commons member for criticizing his country’s government involving in committing human rights violations in Yemen and killing the Yemeni people, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi regarding the temporary freezing of arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Italian Parliament Speaker Roberto Fico for the decision to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Yemen Keith Vaz MP and French Member of Parliament Sébastien Nadot for their demand to freeze arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE that are killing the Yemeni people and their continued adoption of the Yemen cause and its injustice.

I also sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to the Yemeni communities for the popular diplomatic efforts they are making to convey the injustice of the Yemeni people to many countries of the world, revealing the brutal crimes and massacres committed by the Saudi-Emirati aggression against the children, women and people of Yemen over a period of six years.

The meeting discussed the aggravation of the oil derivatives crisis due to the continued intransigence of the aggression countries in detaining fuel, food and medicine ships, which doubles the suffering of the Yemeni people.

It warned of the danger of worsening the humanitarian situation and stopping medical services at any moment due to the continued detention of oil derivative ships by the aggression led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
