Yemen, UNICEF discuss transition to sustainable projects
Water and Environment Ministry and UNICEF have discussed in the capital Sana’a the ministry’s directions to move ahead from the emergency phase to sustainable projects.
Deputy Minister of the Ministry Hunain al-Dareb and UNICEF representative Philippe Duhamel reviewed the 2021 plan aimed at turning service work and sanitation into reality to service directly the needs of citizens.
Al-Dareb affirmed that the Ministry is ready to move to sustainable projects, stressing that the ministry is keen to establish a partnership with UNICEF according to data that meet the needs of society in terms of strategic projects.
On his part, the UNICEF resident representative affirmed the full readiness to cooperate and work with the Ministry to move from the emergency phase to the sustainable projects.
Duhamel said that the Ministry is an important partner and the next phase will see wider areas of partnership and joint action in accordance with the ministry’s priorities, programs, and plans.
