Committee for Epidemics Control: All arrivals to Yemen will be examined without exception
The Higher Committee for Epidemics Control on Saturday, at its meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, approved the examination procedure for all arrivals to Yemen without exception, including UN missions.
The meeting also approved the Health Minister’s decision on the epidemiological developments of the global emergency, the new Coronavirus.
The decision included the application of quarantine procedures for all arrivals from outside Yemen without any exception, whither they are Yemenis or non-Yemenis, through air, sea and land ports, which include filling the travel card and checking the temperature.
The decision also included the application of domestic quarantine for a period of fourteen days on those coming from 12 countries so far, namely “China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the United States of America, Palestine and France.”
The meeting stressed the importance of taking precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus and allocating a budget for this, and supporting the Ministry of Health to play its role in equipping isolation centers and qualifying the health personnel.
