Discussing activities & interventions ICRC in Hodeida

The Director of the Branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in Hodeida province, Jaber Al-Razhi, discussed with the Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross(ICRC) delegation in Yemen, Daphnée Maret, the Committee’s activities and interventions in the province.

The meeting, which included the director of the branch of the Red Cross delegation in Hodeida, and his deputy, Muhammad Qasim, reviewed ways to enhance humanitarian need and finance interventions in the fields of water, health, education, and protection, as well as supporting the activities of the mine center and prisons.

He pointed to the actual need to support agriculture, water, health, shelter, protection, prison support and mine clearance projects in a way that ensures filling the gap in the province’s needs for these projects and alleviating the human suffering of citizens as a result of the continued aggression and the existing siege.

In turn, Maret appreciated the cooperation of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and its role in facilitating the mission’s work, stressing that the Red Cross is concerned with contributing to alleviating the existing humanitarian crisis.

She expressed her gratitude and thanks for the Council’s interaction in addressing the problems facing the Red Cross and working to find appropriate solutions to them.

The meeting was attended by the director of the branch of the Supreme Council in Raymah province, Hilal Al-Haddad, and representatives of the branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs in the province, Ahmed Ismail and Ahmed Yassin.
