YMU condemns Israeli enemy’s targeting of journalists & media professionals in southern Lebanon

he Yemeni Journalists Union condemned the Israeli enemy forces targeting journalists and media professionals working in covering the current events in the Gaza Strip.

The Union indicated in a statement that on Friday, the Israeli enemy forces targeted a car with a number of journalists and media professionals on board in the “Alma Al-Shaab” area in southern Lebanon, which led to the martyrdom of Issam Abdullah, a Reuters photographer. Three other media professionals were injured, including Al Jazeera correspondent Carmen Joe Khadar and journalist Elie Brakhia.

Meanwhile, media activist Ali Samman was martyred in the Gaza Strip as a result of an Israeli bombing of residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip.

The Yemeni Media Union confirmed that the policy pursued by the Israeli enemy in targeting Palestinian, Arab and foreign media crews aims to hide the truth from the world.

He noted that targeting media professionals and journalists is an attempt to silence the mouths and divert the compass from the reality of the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli enemy forces against the Palestinian people, pointing to the crimes and massacres that have occurred since the seventh of this October in the Gaza Strip, in which thousands of civilians have been killed, including martyrs and wounded.

He explained that the turning a blind eye of the rulers of the world, especially America and the arrogant powers, to what is happening in Gaza confirms – without room for doubt – that these regimes are partners with the Israeli enemy in all the crimes, violations, and massacres that it is committing in Gaza today.

The statement called on all free people in the world to expose the lies of the arrogant powers, reveal the truth about the Zionist entity to the entire world, and hold them accountable for all the crimes they committed against women, children, and people in Gaza.
