President Al-Mashat inaugurates academic projects at Sana’a University worth over ten million dollars

His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, opened today,Sunday, a number of academic projects affiliated with Sana’a University at a cost of 10 million and 721 thousand dollars.

The inauguration of these projects by his Excellency the President comes on the occasion of the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the glorious September 21 Revolution and the anniversary of the honorable birth of the Prophet may the best blessings ,peace be upon their owner and his family.

President Al-Mashat, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs – Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abu Lahoum, inaugurated the University Hospital for Mothers and Children, valued at three million and 200 thousand dollars, and heard from the President of the University, Dr. Al-Qasim Abbas, an explanation of the components of the hospital, which in the first phase includes heart and kidney clinics,urology, women, childbirth, general surgery, bones, joints, brain, nerves, ear, nose, throat, laboratory, scouting, ultrasound, television, ECG, pharmacy, and reception.

The second phase includes a clinical capacity of 100 beds, four operating rooms, a ward, lying and recovery rooms, and an intensive care department.

The President and his companions also opened the building of the Petroleum College , Natural Resources, and heard from the President of the University and Dean of the College, Dr. Basim Al-Kharbash, an explanation about the stages of establishing the College, its vision, its mission, the goal of its establishment, and the departments, laboratories, and others it includes.

President Al-Mashat inaugurated the new building for the College of Dentistry, worth six million and 560 thousand dollars, and listened to an explanation from the Dean of the College, Dr. Hassan Al-Shamahi, about the components of the new building, which includes clinics, departments, and laboratories that have been provided and modern equipment.

He was briefed on the mechanism for receiving patients in one of the College of Dentistry’s clinics, the examination , analysis processes, and conducting the necessary tests, praising the efforts of the college’s medical staff in qualifying and training male and female students, by taking advantage of the modern devices ,equipment, laboratories, and halls available at the college.

During his visit to the testing center at the College of Dentistry, His Excellency the President listened to an explanation from the Dean of the College, Dr. Al-Shamahi, about the mechanism of tests that are conducted through automation and provide sufficient opportunity for all its employees in the various stages of education.

President Al-Mashat also opened the College of Veterinary Medicine at a cost of $423,000, and heard from the Dean of the College, Dr. Abdul Raouf Al-Shawkani, an explanation of the stages of establishing the College, modern equipment, and various furnishing works.

President Al-Mashat expressed his happiness at the opening of a number of projects at Sana’a University aimed at developing academic education by taking advantage of modern technologies in various fields.

He stressed the importance of such projects that will contribute to providing the infrastructure for university education, so that its outputs keep pace with the needs of the labor market, expressing the hope that Sana’a University will continue to develop its infrastructure, in line with its ancient history as the first Yemeni university from which thousands have graduated over the decades and now occupy the leadership on various paths.
