Acting Human Rights Minister discusses with OHCHR human rights issues

The Acting Minister of Human Rights, Ali al-Dailami, discussed here on Monday with the Representative of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Safir al-Din Sayed, issues and topics related to human rights.

They dealt with the cooperation between the Ministry and the OHCHR in the human rights aspect.

in the meeting, al-Dailami stressed that international organizations should reassess their performance in Yemen, and commit themselves to transparency and integrity in dealing with, monitoring and documenting violations committed by the aggression coalition and its mercenaries in various human rights and humanitarian aspects.

He referred that the aggression crimes still claim hundreds of victims, whether through the remnants of the bombs and mines, or through the siege that casts a shadow on various aspects of life and causes the death of thousands of children and patients.

Acting Minister of Human Rights called on the OHCHR and international organizations to fulfill the promises they made to lift the siege on the Yemeni people, and support humanitarian projects.

For his part, Sayed confirmed that the OHCHR seeks to enhance its roles in alleviating the suffering of Yemenis, monitoring and documenting violations and crimes against them, and submitting that to the United Nations.

The meeting reviewed the ministry’s plan aimed at making a qualitative leap with regard to various human rights issues and their protection, as well as issues of women and children and the humanitarian situation in light of aggression and siege.
