Human Rights Office Condemns Escalation by US-Saudi Aggression, Strikes against Citizens’ Homes, Destruction of Infrastructure

The Human Rights Office in Sa’adah Governorate condemned the escalation of the recent US-Saudi air strikes, targeting homes and properties of citizens and destroying infrastructure.

The office confirmed that we have full documentation and accurate figures for all the crimes committed by the US-Saudi aggression in the governorate, and they will be present in all human rights forums.

The office held the United Nations fully responsible for criminal, legal and moral consequences. The UN’s silence has encouraged the crimes of US-Saudi aggression.

It called on the media, civil society institutions, and international and local organizations to play their role towards the continuation of the crimes of aggression.

The border areas of Sa’adah are witnessing repeated attacks by the forces of the Saudi aggression against civilians of those areas, which has caused the death, injury and displacement of thousands and caused extensive damage to homes and properties.

In light of its defeats on various frontlines and its failure to achieve any of its objectives, the US-Saudi aggression is notorious for its indiscrimination shown by its numerous attacks against densely-populated centers especially in Sa’adah province, including markets, hospitals, and schools.

Tens of thousands have died since August 2015, when Saudi Arabia and a number of its regional allies launched its devastating campaign against Yemen.
