Republican Hospital Authority in Sana’a launches free medical services for poor & needy

The Republican Teaching Hospital Authority in the capital, Sana’a, launched on Sunday the provision of free medical and therapeutic services to the poor and needy.

During the inauguration, the head of the authority, Dr. Muhammad Jahaf, explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this step comes in implementation of the directives of His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy as a result of the difficult conditions that the country is going through in light of the aggression and siege.

He pointed out that President Al-Mashat chose the Republican Hospital to be a hospital for the poor and needy, coinciding with the celebration of the ninth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution and the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday.

Dr. Jahaf stressed that all medical staff and workers in the hospital should feel the responsibility placed on them in providing free medical services to the poor and needy patients… indicating that priorities and organized mechanisms for work will be established to ensure the delivery of medical services to those who deserve it.

He stressed the keenness to organize work mechanisms, receive patients, and facilitate procedures for obtaining the health services provided to them, especially with the great demand witnessed by the hospital in all departments and clinics.

Dr. Jahaf appreciated the interest and support of the Chairman of the Hospital’s Supreme Political Council to ensure the continuity and improvement of the medical and therapeutic services he provides to patients, and to raise the level of performance.

For their part, a number of patients expressed their appreciation for this initiative by President Al-Mashat, which will contribute to alleviating their suffering, especially in light of the repercussions of the aggression and blockade on Yemen.
