Meteorological Center warns of cold weather within coming hours

The National Meteorological Center warned of the cold to relatively cold weather would be in a number of provinces.

“Cold weather is expected during the late hours of the night and early morning in the provinces of Sanaa, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Amran and Saad,” The center said in its weather forecast.

Relatively cold weather is also expected to target the high mountainous areas of Dhalea, Abyan, Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Shabwa and Marib.

It pointed out the heavy fog may form in separate areas of Hajjah, Mahweet, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj and Abyan.

According to the center, active to strong winds, with speeds ranging between 15-30 knots, would be likely to blow over the southern Red Sea, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the western Gulf of Aden.

The center called on citizens in cold provinces to take the necessary precautions, calling on motorists to drive carefully on mountainous roads due to fog.
