Dozens demand STC to protect women in Aden

Dozens of citizens called for on Friday the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to protect women in the street of Aden city, south of Yemen.

The citizens local authorities to put an end to the harassment of women that has increased in the streets of Aden, and to control those who engage in these acts that target morals and the teachings of the Islamic religion.

The sources in the city confirmed that the rate of harassment of women have been increased in front of malls and commercial markets since 2015, in conjunction with the insecurity and spread of drags and hashish among the youth.

During the past months, a number of girls and women in the city of Aden have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
