Oil Minister Reveals Amount of Oil Stolen by Mercenaries during the Past Years

Minister of Oil and Minerals, Ahmed Dares, revealed the amount of oil stolen by the Saudi-led aggression and its mercenaries during the past years.

Dares told Almasirah in Satyrday that the quantities of oil stolen by the mercenaries of aggression during 2018 amounted to 18 million barrels, and during 2019 reached 29 million and 500 thousand barrels.

“The forces of aggression are looting Yemeni oil and its revenues go to Saudi banks, while our people are suffering from the depletion of these derivatives,” he pointed out.

The Minister of Oil stated that the cost of the looted oil derivatives  during 2018 alone amounted to one billion and 250 million dollars.

He explained that the mercenaries and the coalition are coordinating with some merchants through which the Yemeni oil wealth can be looted.

The Minister emphasized that if Yemeni oil revenues were not stolen, the government would be able to pay salaries to all Yemeni employees.

He went on saying: “We only have the option of confrontation so that we can break the siege and put pressure on the forces of aggression to deliver oil derivatives to Yemen.”

For his part, Director of Oil Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Salim Al-Jadabi, said that more than 120 million barrels of oil have been looted since the beginning of the aggression, with a total value of 12 trillion riyals, and this amount can cover the salaries of employees in the republic for up to 12 years.

“When we talk about one ship out of 3 ships, we can say that a single ship alone can cover more than half a salary for all Yemeni people, let alone 3 ships,” he added.

Al-Jadabi pointed out that oil is being looted through the Radhum Port, Ash-Shihr Port and Nashima Port, and what is discovered is much less than what is not disclosed.
