Burial of More than 70 War Prisoners, Killed by Saudi Airstrike in Dhamar Prison

The National Committee for Prisoners and Missing Persons on Tuesday announced the burial of more than 70 bodies of prisoners and detainees who were targeted by a Saudi Airstrike in early September in Dhamar.

The burial was attended by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross, a Human Rights team from the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs and a representative of the Public Prosecution and Criminal investigation in Dhamar Governorate.

A member of the National Committee for Prisoners Affairs, Ahmed Abu Hamra, told Al-Masirah TV that the committee is ready to cooperate with the families of prisoners and detainees in case the bodies were identified and hand over the bodies to them.

Regarding the prisoners released from Saudi prisons, Abu Hamra said that the prisoners were subjected to the most horrible torture, pointing out that one of the wounded remained untreated for five years and the jailers deliberately tortured him in his wounds.
