Meteorology expects moderate to heavy rains within coming hours

The National Center of Meteorology is expected moderate to heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, in parts of the provinces during the coming 24 hours.

In its daily weather bulletin on Monday, the center indicated sporadic rains of moderate intensity may fall on parts of Lahj, Bayda, Abyan and Shabwa, and light to moderate rains on parts of the western areas of Jawf and Marib, and the south of Hadramout and Mahra.

It also expected hot weather to continue over desert areas, coastal plains and internal plateaus, with temperatures ranging between 35-40 degrees Celsius.

He warned citizens in rainy areas not to be in the water ways and valleys during and after the rains because of the decrease in the extent of horizontal visibility on mountainous roads.
