Establishing emergency mechanism units discussed to confront disasters in Hodeida

The Emergency Committee in Hodeida province discussed in its meeting, headed by Governor Muhammad Qahim, the mechanism of establishing 3 emergency units to confront natural disasters.

In the meeting, Qahim stressed the importance of coordination between all concerned parties and security units in establishing units that will be assigned the tasks of rescue, ambulance and disaster response.

He directed the Civil Defense Department to raise the needs of the required equipment and mechanisms, to work on providing them as soon as possible.

Governor Qahim valued the role of humanitarian partners in supporting the province to face any emergency disasters, provide aid and alleviate the suffering of affected in the districts, stressing the importance of rehabilitating civil defense mechanisms and equipment in the province, and placing them in a state of permanent readiness.
