Abyan witnesses popular protests against deteriorating living conditions

Dozens of residents took on Monday to the Abyan streets in protest to denounce the deteriorating living conditions in Zinjibar district of the province, south of Yemen.

At the protests, the protesters roamed the main street in the district, closing shops, setting fire to tyres and closing streets.

The province is witnessing a deterioration in living conditions and an unprecedented rise in food prices, in light of the silence of the coalition and the Saudi-exiled Hadi government.
