NCM expects rain to continue in mountainous, coastal provinces, interior plateaus

The National Center of Meteorology expected that rain will continue in the mountainous provinces, the interior plateaus, and coastal areas during the next 24 hours.

The center indicated, in its weather bulletin, to the possibility of rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunderstorms, in separate areas of the mountainous provinces, which may be heavier in parts of the provinces of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Raymah, Dhamar and Mahwit.

The rains may extend eastward towards the interior hills of the provonces of Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Mahra, and westward to the western coasts and the corresponding interior areas.

The center stated that scattered rain is expected on parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

According to the center, the southwest monsoon will continue to blow over the Socotra archipelago and parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center warned citizens of the flow of torrents in reefs and valleys and advised not to be in the valleys during and after the rain, warning of reduced horizontal visibility as a result of rain and the formation of water mist or fog in the bends and mountain slopes.

The center also warned of strong winds, sea turbulence and high waves in the Socotra archipelago and parts of the southern and eastern coasts.
