Woman drowns in dam in Sanaa province

A woman drowned on Friday in ‘Sayyan’ Dam in Sanhan District of Sanaa province, a medical source said.

The source explained that Fatima Abdulkarim al-Jamili, 20, from ‘Bani Shaddad’ area in Khawlan district, drowned in the waters of the Sayyan Dam.

The source warned the goers to those places against swimming and venturing themselves into the dams’ water to save their lives from drowning accidents.

The dams’ waters are not prepared for swimming due to the presence of sticky soil that causes drowning, he added.
